LICENSING DISTRICT OF NEWTOWN. ELECTION OF LICENSING COMMITTEE. NOTICE OF POLLING DAY. IN pursuance of the Licensing Act, 1893, and the amendments thereto, I, Horatio Macculloch Lyon, Eeturning Officer for the Licensing District of Newtown, do hereby give notice that an Election will be held for the return of five qualified persons to serve as Members of the Licensing Committee for the said Licensing District, and that the Poll will be taken at the several polling places of the said district on the twenty-fifth day of March, 1903. The following are the polling places for the Licensing District of Newtown :—: — The Public School, Biddiford-street (piincipal) The Public School, Eintoul-street The Public School, Island Bay The Public School, Kilbirnie The Churchrooin, Seatoun The Public School, Eoseneath The Public School, Mitcbelltown The Public School, South Karori The Public School, Brooklyn Mi. John W. Wharton's Shop, coiner of Wallace and Howard Streets. Hours of polling, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. H. M. LYON, Eeturning Officer. For the above election the following nominations have been leceived .—. — BOND, GEOEGE COLLIE, EDWAED FULLFOED, AETHUE HAREY HAYWAED, HAEEY MILES McCAETHY, MICHAEL HAEEY McKENZIE, EOBEET PATTEESON, JAMES EOBEET PEEEIN, ALFEED EAND, ALEXANDEE JOHN EEID, JAMES

ELECTION OF LICENSING COMMITTEE NOTICE OF POLLING DAY. IN pursuance of the Licensing Act, 1893, and the amendments theieto, I, Richard Mothes, Returning Officer for the Licensing District of Hutt, do heieby give notice that an Election will be held for the return of five qualified persons to serve as Membeis of the Licensing Committee for the said Licensing District, and that the latest day for receiving Nominations of Candidates will be the 18th day of MARCH. 1903, and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken at the several polling places of the said district on the 25th day of MARCH, 1903. Every person desirous of becoming a candidate must be nominated by not less than two electors of the District, by a nomination paper prescribed by section No. 99 of the, Electoral Act, 1902, delivered to the Returning Officer on or before 5 o'clock in the afternoon on the 18th day of MARCH, 1903. The following are the Polling Places for the Licensing District of Hutt : — The Oddfellows' Hall, Petone (principal) The Public Hall, Kaiwarra Mrs. Moffatt's Store, Wadestown The Public Hall, Khandallah The Public Hall, Ngahauranga The Wesleyan Church, Belmont The Oddfellows' Hall, Lower Hutt Mi. I. Coombe's Workshop, Muritai (Day's Bay) The Public School, Wainui o-mata The Public School, Taita Mr. Menzies Cottage, Silverstream The Courthouse, Upper Hutt The Public School, Kaitoke Mr. Wackrow's Cottage, Akatarawa.
