Department of Industries and Commerce, Wellington, July 18th, 1902. WRITTEN Tenders are invited for the supply of Five Hundred (500) tons of prime ordinary table potatoes, in good condition and of ordinaiy size. To be packed in strong export cases of uniform shape, securely bound with wire at each end, and with a centre division, each case to contain exactly 100 lb. net weight, and to be marked as dhected. Potatoes are required to be delivered eaily in August, but not without ten days' notice being given of the exact date on which delivery is required. The Secretary reserves the light to reject potatoes of inferior quality at the port of deliveiy, and will require the contractor to replace any potatoes so rejected. Tenders will be received for the whole quantity in one line or any portion thereof, but not less than twenty-five tons. Tenders to state price of potatoes per ton of 2240 lb., fiee on board, and name poit of delivery, such price to include cost of packages. Tenders, addressed to the Secretaiy In dustries and Commerce Depaitment, Wellington, will be received up to noon of the 28th*inst., and aie to be aocompanied by a deposit in the foim of a marked cheque drawn in favour of the Receiver General, Deposit Account, repiesenting 10 per cent, of the value of the Tendei. If the Tendei be accepted the cheque will be negotiated and retained as a guarantee of fulfilment of contract. The lowest oi any tender not necessarily accepted. T. E. DONNE, Secretaiy.
