In the rnattei of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1900. rjIHE Council of the City of Wellington J_ hereby gives public notice that such Council proposes to borrow (by way of special loan within the meaning of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1900) the sum of Fifty-five Thousand Pounds, to be expended in paving the streets along the present tramway line with wooden blocks. The Council proposes to pledge a special rate of twopence in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of annual value) of all rateable property in the city as security for the said loan, and the interest thereon. It is proposed that the whole amount of the loan shall be repayable at the expiration of a term of twenty years, computed from the raising of the loan. Dated this 16th day of March, 1901. J. E.
