WELLINGTON JOCKEY CLUB.

A meeting of the above club was held at Barrett’s Hotel on Saturday, November 18th, 1842, when it was proposed by Mr. Ludlam, and seconded by Mr. Boulcott—That the following gentlemen be requested to act as Stewards, viz:— Mr. E. J. Wakefield, Mr. J. Watt, Mr. Jenkins, Mr. Virtue, Dr. Dorset, Mr. Molesworth. Proposed by Mr. Jenkins, and seconded by Mr. E. J. Wakefield —That Mr. Guyton be requested to act as Treasurer. Carried. Proposed by Mr. Watt, and seconded by Mr. J. Sutton —That Mr. Ludlam be requested to act as Secretary. Carried. Proposed by Mr. Watt, and seconded by Mr. E. J. Wakefield—That the period for the admission of original members be extended to the 25th December, 1842. Carried.
