MELBOURNE.
[From the " Melbourne Herald," July 21.] Dight's Mills, 30ih July.-Flour, .£l4 per ton; bran, T». sd. per bushel; sharps, 1«. 3d. to Is. 7d. do. Wheat bought at ss. 6d. to ss. Bd. Carlton Flour Mills, 30th July.-Flour, £l4 per ton ; bran, Is. sd. per bushel; pollard, Is. sd. do.: wheat bought at ss, Cd. to sa. 9d. per bushel. Mr. W- Lawrence's weekly report is as follows:—There are no important changes to record In the corn market within the last few days. Imports are under average, while the exports consist of 250 tons flour, shipped to King George's Sound, or some port in the East. Flour remains steady at quotations; nondescript lots, branded « Colonial," are offered freely, and sold at auction at low prices, but millers and importers of really genuine parcels do not press sales, having every confidence in the future state of the market. In wheat, supplies fall ofl both in town and country: large parcels are being consumed in place of oats, etc., for horse feed; there are inquiries for parcels of South Australian, but none are coming forward. The demand for oats has fairly set in, consumers having been at last compelled to operate. Considerable transactions occurred yesterday in Californian at os. and Tasmanian at 6s. 3d. to 6s. 6d. There are also parcels of oats sold as " Colonial," very questionable. Barley is unchanged. Maize has receded. Bran supplies have fallen off, and prices are unaltered. Gram, oatmeal, and malt remain without change.
