[From the " Herald," August 3.] Flour.—The local demand for flour is good ; but the market is devoid of speculation. The millers are not disposed to sell large parcels at present rates. Fine flour is quoted at £ls per ton, seconds at £l3. Wheat.—The supply of wheat has been limited, prices have advanced a little, and may be quoted at ss. Gd. to 5». 9d. per bushel. Maize.—Very little of this cereal has been brought forward this week. Quotations are from 3s. to 3s. 3.1. per bushel. The report spoke in terms of high approval of the sending the mail again by King George's Sound route, the resumption of immigration, and the mineral wealth of Wallaroo. Messrs. Thomas Graves Linklater, R. B. Smith. E. J. Spence, and W. B. Brand were elected the committee. The Havilah s, has not yet arrived from Melbourne. A committee is being organized for collecting subscriptions to erect a monument in memory of the late Rev. T. Q. Stow. Flour market dull, at £l3 JOs.; wheat, ss. 3d. IheS A. Advert iter of that date (July 24th), says:-We understand that there are now about 2500 tons of wheat and flour loading at the port for exportation. The removal of this quantity of breadstuff* will be a great relief to the market.
