HEREBY notify for general information _i_ that a Memorial signed by a majority of number of all persons having such interest in the District of Wairoa as is required by the " Highways Act, 1862," praying that the operation of the said Act may be extended to the said District, has been received by me; And I do hereby declare that the " Highways Act, 1862," shall henceforth be in full operation within the said District of Wairoa. Boundaries—Bounded on the North by a line from Motutangi on the East Coast to Wai-ihi on the West Coast (being the Southern boundary of Subritzky's run); on the West by the 6ea; on the South by the Ahipara block; and on the East by the base of the hills on the West of the Awanui river, by Rangounou Bay, and by the sea; excluding Maxwell's and Ford's lanu 5 , and Mackay's claim.
