THE AUCKLAND LAND ASSOCIATION, No. 1.
Tiik General Half-yearly Meeting of the members of this Association was held on Monday, the 4th instant, in the Hall of the Mechanic’s Institute. Dr Bennett, the President in the chair. The Secretary, Mr. Hansard, read the Financial statement prepared by the Treasurer and Trustees, and signed by the Auditors in accordance with Law No. of the Association.
(The above balance being principally due to members who had drawn their shares but not yet made their selections.) The financial statements having been approved and adopted, the following gentlemen were elected officers for the ensuing year:— President—Dr. Bennett. Vice-President —Mr, J. T. Boylan, Treasurer—Mr, A. Clark. Committee —Messrs, J. Downing, W. Singer, W. Lepine, W. Tatersall, W. Griffin, P. A. Phillips, C. Winch. M. Dinnin, R. B. Shalders, W. Hughes, J. England, J, B. Woodham, T. Keightley, M. Keilley. Secretary—Mr. Hansard. Auditor’s—Messrs. G. Smith, G. Grahame, J. Fielding. Trustees.—Messrs. J. Williamson, T. Russell, and J. Makepeace.
From these it appeared that since the commencement of the Society, 9th October, 1852, the amount received from members as subscriptions on 189 shares £ s. d. was From a member in augmentation of 2100 12 3 his share 17 0 0 From entrance fees and fines, and from interest on members pay2117 12 O ing off ..... 51 4 0 £ s. d. That £1050 2s. Gd. had been paid to members on account of their drawn shares. 1050 2 0 The expenses of management for the two years had been . 98 17 4 1748 19 10 Remaining at the Union Bank to the credit of the Treasurer, A.
