Wesleyan Missionary Anniversary.— On Sunday last the Sermons in connection with ilie Anniversary of the New Zealand District Auxiliary to this Society were preached, as advertised in our last, -in the morning by tho Rev. Robert Young, of London, and in the evening by the Rev. W. B. Boyce of Sydney. On Monday evening the Annual Meeting was held in the Chapel, David Bough Esq., in the Chair. A Rcpoit was read by the Rev. Thomas Buddie, which, in addition to a general view of the operations of the Society, contained some important remarks on the present condition and prospects of the Natives of New Zealand. The financial statement was especially interesting as furnishing further evidence of the liberality with which the Natives themselves, according to their means, contribute to aid in the spread of the Gospel. Resolutions were Vuoved or seconded by the Rev. John Whiteley, of Kawhia; the Rev. Nathaniel Turner, now of Sydney but who was one of the earliest missionaries to New Zealand; the Her. Thomas Williams, from Feejee; the Rev. W. B. Boyce; the Rev. Robert Young: the Rev. James Buller, of Kaipara; and the Rev. David Bruce, of the Presbyterian Church in Auckland. We hope to give a fuller Report in our next. The attendance was very large, including a number of the members of various other denominations as well as Wesleyans, and the collections reached an amount unprecedented at any former Anniversary of the Society here, about 2CL having been contributed at the Sermons, and 401. atlheMeeting. Wehave already directed attention to the Missionary Tea Meeting which is to beheld this evening, and at which the Rev. Robert Young is expected, with other Ministers, to be present. It has also been announced that Mr. Young will preach in the Presbyterian Church on Sunday morning next, —the Minister and Office-bearers of that Church having in a catholic spirit invited him to do soon behalf af the Missionary Society.
