A Government Gazelle issued yesterday evening contains a document of* great importance, as a practical following up of the invaluable information respecting Manukau Harbour which has recently been obtained by the successful survey b\ U.M.S. Pandora. Captain Drury now gives “ Sailing Directions for Mannkau Harbour,” thus affording the most reliable practical help to mariners. The chart of the Survey has, we understand, been forwarded to the Admiralty by H.M.B. Serpent , and will in due lime—we trust at the earliest possible lime—be published; but until that object be realized, a tracing of the
Survey is placed at the Surveyor General’* office, to which all who desire it can ha * free access.
