The HAnnooß and Shipping.—On Saturday we drew attention to the activity at present existing in our port from the large number of vessels la bar.our, and we have to-day to notice the further addition to tlie list Of the barque Royal Shepherdess, Captain Bell and the schooner Marmora, Captain Kelly, both arrived on Satuulay,—the former from Melbourne via Sydney—the latter from Sydney via the Bay of Islands,—also, of the whaling barque Star, Captain Eury, arrived yesterday from the whaling grounds having touched at Mercury Bay. The list of shipping now in harbour comprises four ships, four barques, four brigs, three schooners, of a registered tonnage amounted to 4690 ton 3. The Royal Shepherdess Captain Bell is laid on for Melbourne, and is about to load with a cargo of our produce for that market. The schooner Marmora proceeds to-day to the Tamiki to load with potatoes for Sydney. The whaling barque, Star, has been nine months out from Sydney.' having sailed thence for the Whalii g (Jrounds on the 3rd of May last, and has on board 150 barrels sperm oil. Her topsides were found to he leaky shortly after she put to sea, and Captain Eury, finding that repairs were needed, stood up from the ti-iliiiig-ground for Auckland, but missed the port, and put in ai Mercury Bay, where he found means available to have his vessel put to rights. While refitting there, however, five of his hands deserted, and he has co ie in here now for the purpose of making up his complement of crew, in order to resume his cruise. The Star spoke the Paracluteof New Bedford, entering Mongonui, and saw the barque Jasper, on Thursday last, standing to the northward. r By the Ilorald from Russell we have intelligence o the following Whalers at the Bay of Islands. Brighton, Captain Weaver, of New BedforJ, 42 months out, 1000 barrels whale oil. Fortune, brig, of Sydney, 7 months out, 250 birre's sperm.
