WITH reference to a call for Tenders for Spars for the service of Her Majesty's Government, which appeared in the Government Gazette of the 14th July, and 271h August last,— Notice is hereby given, that said Tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office, until noon of Monday next, the 4th proximo. Further particulars on the subject can be obtained on application at the Office of the Colonial Secretary. Tenders to be in duplicate, sealed and endorsed "Tender for Spars." Byron Drury, Commander.
AUCKLAND AUXILIARY BIBLE SOCIETY. rpIIE Committee beg to inform the friends J- and supporters of the British and Foreign Birle Society, that the Auckland Auxiliary has during the past two years forwarded to the Parent Society, as free contributions, £40, and on the purchase account the sum of £90; but, impressed with the recollections of the large outlay which the British and Foreign Bible Society has made in former years in these Islands, the Committee arc anxious to increase the free contributions made to the Society, and hereby solicit that renewed aid which will enable them to do so.
