Province of New Ulster,} to wit. j WHEREAS, a Writ under the hand of Lieutenant-Colonel Robert Henry Wynyarb, Companion of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath, Lieutenant-Governor of the Province of New Ulster, &c, &c, &c, bearing date the sixth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-two, hath been directed to me, Thomas Beckham, Esquire, as Returning Officer for the Northern Division, requiring and commanding me to cause to be elected by and from amongst the Electors, duly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently and in manner and form by Law prescribed, two Persons to serve in the Provincial Council for the Northern Division : Now, therefore, I, (he said Thomas Beckham, Inquire, Returning Officer for the Northern Division, do hereby, in pursuance of the said recited Writ, (jive Notice that a Public Meeting of the Electors of the Northern Division will be holden in the Market Place, Shortland-street, Auck land, on the 30th day of Augu:>t next, at Thiee o'clock, v m., for the purpose of Nominating two Members to serve in the Provincial Council, for the said Northern Division ; and in the event of a Poll being demanded for the said Candidates,or any of them, such Polling shall take place on the 3 1st day of August next, at such Market Place aforesaid, the voing to commence at any time after nine o'clock of the said day, and to cluse at four in the afternoon of the same day. IMPOUNDED, in the Public Pound, Hobson's Bridge, by Na William, for trespassing in an enclosed cultivation at Orakei, a white Cow, led spots on neck, head, and tip of ears; branded like WD offrum/> Owner unknown.
