Province of New Ulster, \ to wit. J "fy*T"HKREAS f a Writ under the hand of YV Lieutenant-Colonel Robert Hei?ry WYNYARn, Companion of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath. Lieutenant-Governor of the Province of New Ulster, &c, &c, &c, bearing date the sixth day of July, one thousand eight hundied and fifty-two, hath been directed to me, Thomas Beckham, Esquire, as Returning Officer for the City of Auckland, requiring and commanding me to cause to be elected by, andfrom amongst, the Electors, duly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently and in manner and form by Law prescribed three persons to serve in the Provincial Council for the City of Auckland : Now, therefore, I the said Thomas Beckham, Esquire, Returning Officer for the City of Auckland, do hereby, in puisuance of the said recited Wiit, give Notice that a Public Meeting of the Electors of the City of Auckland will be holden in the Market Place, Shortland-street, Auckland, on the 30th day of August next, at Ten o'clock, a.m., for the purpose of Nominating three Members to serve in the Provincial Council for the said City, and in the event of a Poll being demanded for the Candidates, or any of them, such Polling shall take place on the 31st day of August next, at such Market Place aforesaid, the Voting to commence at any time after nine o'clock of the said day, and to close at four in the afternoon of the same day.
