AUCKLAND FAIR.
THE Wardens of the Hundred of Auckland beg to remind the Public that the FIRST ANNUAL FAIR for the Hundred, will be held at the Village of Newmarket, Epsom Road, on Tuesday, llth March. The Sales of Stock will take place from twelve to three o'clock. AFTER WHICH, Foot racing, running in sacks, wheel-barrow racing, and other sports, in accordance with old English customs, will commence; the Prizes for which will be open to all residents in the Hundred, whether Native or European. Only a small portion of the Market ground being yet enclosed the present Fair will be held in Mr. Osborne's paddock, opposite the Royal George Inn. Applications for permission to erect Booths, to be made to Mr Osborne. Mr. Hardington's Omnibus will ply between Auckland and Newmarket on the Fair day; starting from the Exchange Hotel at 11 o'clock —l 2 o'clock, 2 o'clock, and 3 o'clock. An Ordinary at the Royal George Inn at 1 o'clock.
AGRICULTURAL & HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
THE Committee will meet on Saturday the Ist March, at 3 p.m., at the Exchange Hotel, to arrange for opening the Market. James Baber, Secretary.
