WESLEYAN COLLEGE & SEMINARY, AUCKLAND.

THE next Session will commence on Wednesday, January 15th, at 9^ a.m. It is hoped that all our pupils will assemble at that precise hour that the classes may be arranged and studies resumed without needless delay. The arrival from England of a Lady long versed in tuition, will enable us to pay appropriate attenlioti to those young ladies who may be entrusted to our caic. A Graduate of London is expected from England, duri'ig the year, to assist in the supervision and instruction of the young gentlemen. The aims of those who conduct this Institution are high, and it is not common success which will content them. They earnestly seek to furnish their pupils with every encouragement to attain superior intelligence and information, and to be habitually industrious, truthful, and conscientious. They believe happiness to be indispensible to right Education, and therefore make every effort to promote it, both in the School-room and elsewhere. We beg to express our gratitude to tho se nu merous individuals who, during the past year, have supported and recommended us. We hope to deserve their friendly and valued confidence. We are determined not to omit anything which we believe will further the efficiency of the Institution. It was never intended to monopolize the Education of the Settlement — it does not imply a peculiar right or qualification to educate — but its design is to supply to some extent that sort of Education and society, which intelligent colonists of sober domestic taste, practical enterprize, and religious conviction desire for their children. Signed on behalf of the Proprietors, Joseph Homer Fletcher, Principal.
