The Hamlet sailed from Sidney on the 23rd ult., and made the Three Kings seven days after. She was detained on the coast by light winds and calms. She bat commenced loading 1 for California. The William 4' James sailed from Sydney on the 20th ultimo, and has been twenty-three days making the passage down, during which time she encountered strong eaiterly windi, and after reaching the coast was becalmed three or four days. She spoke the Sarah, from Kawau for Sydney, off the Little Barrier, on Monday. The William Sf James is to be laid on for California. The «hip Commodore has been chartered at Sydney to load at thii port fur California. She was to Bail on the 28th ultimo. The Swan, brig, has been laid on at Sydney for the Mauritius. The schoonpr Camilla was chartered at Hobart Town to proceed to Wellington, Fort Cooper, and from thence to this port. She is expected daliy. The Greyhound was put up to auction yesterday by Messrs. Connell & Ridings. Her hull was bought by Mr. Nicol for £95 ; and the remainder of her gearrigging, taili, &c, wai sold in separate lots to various purchaiers. The whole amount realised was £350.
