The Fairy Royal yacht, Captain Lord Adolphus Fitzclarencc, Commander Crispin, embarked the Court at Tiinity-ithiirt, East Covres, this morning, at 10 o'clock, and disembarked them at 11, at the Ro>al Clarence Victualling Establishment, Gosporr. The Victoiia and Aloert and the Fairy will be paid off on the 3ht, in ncroi dance with the custom of the service ; and immediately recommissioned, with the same commanding officers. The Notloy lender arrived this morning with men from Plymouth, and left this afternoon with Mipernunioiaiit's. The Penelope itoam-fr'gate, Captain Giflaid, bearing the hioad pendant ol Commodore Sir C'liailes LJotham, X.C.8., Coininandor-in-Clref, was at St Helena on the 29th of (Mobeiya l>oitt to proceed to Ascension.

Loss of the Avenger. — Tlie Pacha, which took out the Indian mail instead of the Erin, lias returned from Malta. She brings news of the total loss of her Majesty's steam frigate Avenger, on the Soielle rocks, near Galalia, on the 20th of December. Three olliceis, a surgeon, and live of the ctew only are saved. The Avenyct is a steamer of ihe iiist class, of 1141 tons and 650 hoise power. She was built by Sir W. Symonds, at Duvonpojt, in 1845, and was put into commission for the Meditenanean station on ihe 20th of last November. We subjoin a list of her odiceis : — Ciptain C. E.
