Parties tendering are requested to observe that strict adherenco to these conditions will be invariably enforced.
IWODK OF DELIVERY. 6th.— The required supplies will not be taken into the chaise of the Commissaiiat, but must be delivered by the Contiactor direct to the peisons entitled theteto, on the older of the Senior Commissaiiat Ofllcei, or of any person to be deputed by him for that purpose.
GENERAL CONDITIONS. 7th. — Each Tender sent in, in consequence of this Adveitisement, must be accompanied by a statement signed by tw o competent Persons, and evpiessing their readiness, in the event of i such Tender being accepted, to become secunty for its due peifoimance. The penalty of the Bond to be given will be equal to the estimated amount of three months' supplies. And it is to be understood that thesureties will be held sti icily lesponsible for the fulfilment of the Contractor's engagements, any failuie in which will be immediately followed by the enforcement of the penalty of Bond. Bth. — The aiticles required for Hospitals must bo comprised in one Tender, — and the same Regulation will apply to those required for Ships of War. The other articles may be tendered together or separately. 9th.— The Conti actor to prepare his own account according to the preset ibed form ; and on the pioduclion thereof at tins Ollice, with the requisite Vouchers in a complete state, shall leceive payment Monthly, by a Bill upon the Lords Comimssioneis of Her Majestj's Treasui y, at Par, when the amount is Fifty Pounds or upwards: when under that Amount, Payment will be made in Cash. 10th.— In the event of any Article offered being objected to as not agreeing with these Conditions, it will be submitted to a Board of Officers, to be appointed by the Officer Commanding the Troops, and if rejected by the Board, it will be replaced by the Commissariat Officer and charged against the Contractor, in the event of his neglecting to do so when required. 11th. — It shall be in the power of either party to limit the duiation of the Contract by giving it wiiting a notice of three Calendar Months te» the opposite party, and to end the Contract an the expiration of that period, it being understood that such notice can be given only from the first day of a month, and within the period for which the Conti act is made or agreed to be made. 12th — Each Tender to be in Duplicate, sealed, and endorsed " Tender for Biead," " Tender for Rum," &c\, as the case may be. I3lh. — No Tender once sent in, is to be withdrawn or altered, and Notice of those accepted will be given within three days of the time of opening. And on sufficient evidence being affolded that the sureties are satisfactory, the Bond is to be completed without delay. If any persons who have tendered, refuse to fulfil their offers upon light or frivolous excuses, they will be considered ineligible as Contractors on any future occasion. The Conlractoisfor the different Articles will be required to supply such quantities as may be diiecled by the Senioi Commissaiiat Officerwithout lelerence to any particular set vice, whether Militaiy, Naval, or any other. OR The ration of Bread and Meat, consisting of lib. of each, may be tendered at per Ration Rum, West India, 5 per cent under proof, (duty to be paid by the Contractor) at pet Imperial Gallon Firewood at per lOOlbs. Straw at per ton of 2240 lbs. Mould and Dip Candles at per lb. . FOR HOSPITALS. Fresh Beef or Mutton Fine Bread Arrow Root, Sago, Rice .each of Tea, Sugar, Oatmeal f at Sail, Yellow Soap, Pearl Barley Mixed Vegetables, Potatoes Milk and Vinegar, at per Pint Eggs, at per dozen Porter, Port Wine, & Brandy, at per Bottle Fowls each The conditions under w liich the Supplies will be received, are the Same as those laid down in the Commissariat Adveitisement inviting Tenders for the Auckland District, as it appean in this Newspaper, with the following addition :-— The Fresh Meat to be issued Daily, in Fore and Hind Quarters alternately — when the quantity required admits of it.
