AMATEUR THEATRICALS.
We feel greatly delighted at the success of qjir Amateur Performers. The house was crowded on Friday evening. It is impossible to speak of the arrangements and the perfoimance in too high terms — were we inclined we could not find fault. Everything was in excellent taste, and the actors well deserved the enthusiastic reception which they met. The cast could not have been better, nor the audience more highly pleased. We weie rather fearful that " Bombastes Furioso" would have been a fdiiure, for unless well acted, it falls fl-il : we were however most agreeably surprised at the result differing so widely from our apprehensions, for what more can be said for the acting of our Extravaganza, than that it was received with, irrepressible delight. We hope this amusement will be frequently repeated, the success of their first attempt giving heart to the Performers to try something higher than mere farce. They are fully equal to an} thing they think to undertake — in our opinion high Comedy is their forte. — COMMUNICATKD.
