SYDNEY SHIPPING.
The schooner Cheerful was sold by Mr. Mort, June 18th, by private contract, to Mr Thomas Woolley, for the sum of £1200. The schooner Thomas Lord, was sold by the latter gentleman a few days since fur the sum of £750. June 18. Arrived the Oliver Cromwell, ship, 478 tons, Capt. Alexander from London, having been 109 days on the passage. Passengers, Messrs. H. Haye-, Ford, G. and J. Ross, Nicol, Johnson, Davis, and Paul. She is a new vessel, being now on her first trip, was built at Aberdeen, by Messrs. Hood & Co. in 1846 ; and has the appearance of a very fast sailer. Also same day arrived the ship Glentanner, Capt. Brock, from London, having left the Downs on 5th February, making a passage of 132 days. Passengers, Mr. Eyre, (Lieutenant Governor of New Zealand), Mrs. Naylor, two children and servant, Mr. A. D. Lang, Mr. N. Gifford, Assistant Staff Surgeon Hartwell, Mr. & Mrs. Phelps, and child, Messrs. T. Macauley, J. Jones, T. Bull, and Peri Kawau and Pomari, natives of New Zealand. This vessel brought the February mail, consisting ol 4091 letters, aud 13,500 newspapers.
