This, in all probability, being the last LandScrip sale, anrl as the greater body of the Northern Settlers will now concentrate in the neigh'bouihood of Auckland — thereby raising the value of property. And the circumstances under which the sale is made, uot being likely to produce very great competition, raises the value of Scrip, and is particularly advantageous to Government officers, whose salaries enable them to see through these, bad times; also other capitalists, whose well placed confidence in the Government assures them of peace and security, and the consequent reaction to times more prosperous than any Auckland has yet seen.
