SYDNEY, Last Night. The people's reception at the Town Hall was the finale to a demonstrative welcome to the Duke and Duchess all along the route to the building. The streets in the vicinity were packed, and the wfiole function was a fine, free, whole-hearted expression of loyalty. - Similarly the school children's' display at the crickefc ground^in which many thouss^ids participated' forming a. huge lettered "Welcome" to the Royal visitors. At the University where an honorary degree was conferred on the Duke, equal warmth. of sentiment was evidenced. The Royalties expressed: themselves as highly pJ.eased with the; generous, spontaneous tributes, The. weather was dull, hut the threaW ened rain luckily held off.
