WAIAREKA SALE
There was a fairly large attendance at the Waiareka Sale yesterday and moSt of the offering was dispcsed of under the hammer. Fat lambs ranged from 23s 6d to 25s Gd. fat ewes from 11s 6d to 13s 6d and fat wethers up to 21s. The yarding of store sheep was heavy, but the sale dragged somewhat. The best rape lambs sold at from 20s to 21s, the latter price being paid for a lipe that included.a- number of fats. Others bruoght for 17s to 19s and smaller- lambs 12s to 13s 6d. Good SM. ewes ranged from 23s to 26s, f.m. ewes 10s to 15s, and aged and inferic-r sorts from 5s to 7s 8d. Two and 4-tooth ewes sold up to 29s 6d. a big entry of fat cattle was yarded and prices were a shade easier compared with last week's sale. Fat cows sold from £3 15s to £5 and fat laeifers up to £6 5s. One prime steer brought £11 2's. Y4* *
