BLENHEIM, Last Night. Interviewed in regard to cabled advice that Major Goodsell, the . world's sculling champion, had expected to meet him in a match for the championship on April 10th, J. P. Hannan said the newspaper cablegram was the first he had heard of the proposed date, although he had been expecting advice from Goodsell. April 10th, of course, was out of the question but he was prepared to meet the cham- 1 pion on any date which would give j him an opportunity of reaching San Diego or any other place nominated by the champion. Hannan added that he had arranged for his stake, and had a committee in Wellington • arranging for his expenses. He had been keeping in training and was prepared to sail for America next month.
