Meek protested against Mr Gardiner resigning from the Board and the chairman agreecl to reconsider his decision. Mr Art Collins a Western Au§* tralian professional boxer accomV panied by Mr Hal Jones, his trainer, and a gymnastic instructor wellknown throughout New Zealand, were in Oamaru yesterdav, Art Gollins is oa the look-out for ailightweight fight, hut in the meantime he has put a proposition before the local boxing authorities for the establishment of a gymnasium in Oamaru for the, benefit of the loeal schools and athletic bodies
