Courtley Rose , moved into third place at the bend, and turning towards home the order was King Sol, Vaward, Courtley Rose, Fresco. King Sol was well i clear in the dip and ran round the last corner with a break of four or five lengths from Courtley Rose and Vaward. Half -way up cj rise Oyerhaul was just in front of Sweet Melody, Brightling and j Miss Winkie. In a hard finish I Brightling wore Overhaul down and j beat him by a length, with Miss ! In the Windsor Handicap, in a field of four, Wingatui was sent out a £3 better favourite than Battle Colours. Tholomon and' Battle Colours were first to break the line,and they ran along the back a cou5 pie of lengths in front of the7 other j pair. These positions were maintajned until half the journey had been traversed, when Moratorium commenced . to drift back. Running through the dip Raftle Uolours shook off Tholomon, who was joined by Wingatui. Once in the straight Battle Colours drew .away and won by four or five lengths from Wingatui. who defeated Tholomon by over a .length. Booster and Rob Dead Heat. Much the higgest pool of the meeting was rung up on the Electric Handicap the final event of the meeting. Receipt was favourite with a large individual total, hut Booster, Rob and Eaton Bells * also carried substantial amounts. Lava and Dancing Days were soon out in front, with Booster in third place when the field settled down. The leaders piloted Booster and Receipt into the dip, where they heat a speedy retreat, leaving Booster in charge from Receipt and Eaton Bells, with Rob improving his position. Booster held a slight advantage from Receipt and Eaton Bells at the beginning of the straight proper, but 50 yards from home he was challenged by Rob who, vigorously ridden, got up to secure a dead heat. Receipt and Eaton Bells were a length away with only a head between them. Dangle, who , was carrying a stone overweisht was ahvays at the tail of the field.' -
