AUCKLAND, March 24. Judgment of one shilling, withoi costs, was given to e'ach of thrc plaintiffs in the Magistrate's Coui to-day by Mr E. C. Cutten, S.M., i delivering judgment in a case i which three plumbers' apprentice claimed dainage from their late en ployer for not finding them new ern ployers when he was corripelled ti give up business. "Defendant, i' discharging his appren^ices withou making arrangeinents for the? transfer to another employer," sai the magistrate, "has committed breach of the Apprentices' Act fc which he is liable to a penalty. m,agistrate thought, however •xt although plaintiffs had proved breach of contract thej7 had not ffered damage. He therefore /arded one shilling damages each, "hout costs.
