At the annual meeting to-day of Ihe Southland Woollen Mills, Ltd., whose object is the crection of woollen mills at Gore, a keen debate took pli-.ce on a motion by a Dunedin director: That the Company voluntarily liquidate. Mr Halliday, the nxover, held that Ihe Company had insiifiicient capital the total to date l)eing £71.000. and the small mill proposed would | have no chance of competing with estahlished concerns.
