MR HOLLAND'S CHARGE OF PREACH OF FAITH

WESTPORT, Marco 22. Speaking at a meeting of the Buller branch of the League of Nations Union last night Mr H. E. Holland, ieader of * the Opposition, made a charge that the New Zealand Government had persistently dishon- j oimed its signature to the Peace I Treaty, in the matter of internatinoal Lqbour organisations'. Arlicle 389 made provision for a representation of Government employers and workers at the Internationjal Labour Conferenjre, and each signatory had undertaken that delegations would be nominated. So far New Zealand had not been permitted to send. representatives and, ■ despite repeated protests from the j Labour opposition, the Government I seemed unable to recognise obliga- i tions solemnly entered into. Mr j Holland further claimed that vital • principles of the Treaty relating to i the right of association, living wage 1 standards, immigration, and equal j remuneration for women giving | equal service, were being wholly j disregarded in this country. ; At the conclusion of Mr Holland's [ address the Rev.
