THE EVE OF REVOLUTION.
ONLY A MATTER OF TIME.
(Oa'ble-
— Oopyrlglit.)
NEW YORK, March 18. The "New York Times" sent a special correspondent to Mexico to investigate the situation. He telegraphs that Mexico is on the brinlc of a revolution which may prove one of the bitterest and hloodiest in her turbulent history. He expeets the revolution ary movement, which already is serious, to reach formidable proportions before long' hecause President Calles, through his Bolshevist leanings has created many dilemmas, any one of which may result in his being dsposedi, namely religious repressions petroleum controversies and an agrarian crisis due to the subdivision of the large estates. Only the embargo iniportation of arms prevents the spread of the present revolutionary movement, and the fact that his own army is well armed and fed and reasonably well equipped, but it is questionable how long he can depend upon it.
