DOUBLE FEATURE PROGRAMME. "The Ancient Highway," so called because much of the action and romance in this new Paramount screen version of the James Oliver Curwood story takes place on a fantails road running through the quaint regions of Quebec, is the feature this week at the Opera House. Eve Unsell, Jack Holt, Billie Dove and Montagu Love are featured in the principal rolc. Holt, as Cliff Brant, after adventuring all over the world, returns to his . home town on the St. Lawrence to square accounts with Ivan Hurd, a millionaire paper manufacturer who had been the cause ot Cliff's father's death. The picture goes on to show how he linds romancei and adventure along "the anicient highway." The second feature is "A Strealc of Luck," featuring Buffalo Bill, Jnr., and tells briefly how Bill incurs the anger of his dad when he gets into a fight in a cabaret and after being told to get out, goes AVest where he helps Frankie (who owns a ranch) battle some handits and form a friendship. Bill later writes his Dad that he has hought a ranch and the latter is so pleased that he comes to visit his son. A had man abducts Frankie and Bill's dad and holds them for ransom. Bill captures the bad man and claims the big reward and hrings the trio together .
