The opinion was exprcssed by the president that the situation was organisqd by mcrchants in England in an endeavour to abolish tlie Control Board altogether, and that a word of encouragemcnt to tlie board j would not be out of place. - Regret also was expressed' that I certain memhers- of the Control I Board had turhed tail on the pro- ! ducers. It was stated tliat the ranlc and ! | lile of the farming conlmunity were | ardent supporters of the board, and j that farmers' individual opinions j should not be overlooked. Several | members considered that a great deal of the trouble to-day could be. traced to the appointment of the Government representative on the board, wliich was alleged to he a distinct breach of i'aith with the producers, and that the Government appointed a man who was entirely opposed to the interestS of the producers.
