LONDON, March 17. Lieut.-Commahder Myers who recently held an important post in the submarine service at Portsmouth, was charged at Bow Street at the instance of the Admiralty under the Official Secrets Acts. The Court was crowded with notable personages, Mayers was remanded for a week, bail being refused, He resign.ed his official position to take up an ap-~ pointment in ihe submarine department of Viekers Ltd. The prosetcution said that Mayers was charged with being in possession of plans relating to submarines and the case was extrem'ely serious. A detective addressed the Magistrate in whispers and the spectators were unable to gather the nar ture of the charge. •
