(Oable-
-Oopyl'igrbt.)
PARIS, March 16. Dr Voronoff, the monlcey glancl expert, engaged by the French Government in research work, announces that experiments in 1924 in grafting an extra gland in healthy sheep were a revelation, but the expense was heavy. It is now discovered that the offspring of the grafte,d sheep are 81bs heavier at five months than lambs from sheep not treated. : Dr Voronoff proposes to graft glands upon the offspring of the freated sheep, not with a view to breeding sheep as big as oxen, but i ro obtaining a maximum of wool. ' D Voronoff Iras been requested to ! send an expert to New Zealand to 1 give instructions in the methods. He = adds: "Sheep, which usually die I when 14 years old, when treated live to 20. Instead of enduring old j age for four years they die sudden- { ly in a week The same thing would ! probably occur with human beings. j Dr Voronoff is going- to Algeria to ; experiment on a Government ranch [ of 3000 sheep.
