DUNEDIN, Last Night. Sheep improved a little and dairy cows and bulls went back at Burnside to-day. Sheep. — A penning of. 2219. The supply of fine cross-bred wethers was vei'y fair aixd there was also a good sprinkling of pi'ime fine 1 wooledi wethers. There was a good nunxber of pennings of m'sdium to very fair ewes. The best of last week's prices were secured. Later ■xix improvemnt was made antl about !s per head more was realisecl. The demand was slack for heavy wethers. Ewes throughout were seilng freely Heavy wethers 30s to 32s; mediuxn 27s to 28s 6d; light 22s to 25s 9d; best ewes 17s 6d to 20s; rnedium 15s to 16s 6d; light 9s 6d to 12s 9d Lambs. — A penning of about 800. The proportioxx of fine well grown lambs was' very good. The usual exporters were operating at their limits. Prices wene much the same as last week. Heavy lambs 27s to 28s 9d; prime 23s 9d to 25s 6d; mediunx 22s to 23s; unfinished 16s to 19s. Store Cattle.— A yarding of 240 made up of mixed cows, a number of heifers and odd pens of from two to three years old jmedium steers. A few steers brought £8 10s, and Jhe cows fell back fully 10s. Vealers were sold at about the usual rates and fat cows were hard to quit. The price of bulls went back from h«tween 30s to 40s. Dairy Cows. — There was a yarding of 40. and the prices were back ht least 30s. Pigs. — A pexxnxng of 135 fats and 123 stores. The baconers brought about the saxixe price as last week being sold round about £5. j Fat Cattle.— Fair eiitries, comprised of prime and medium weight bullocks, several pens of heifers and the usual supply of rnedium px'ithe ftows. Extra 'heaVy bullock heef 32s per lOOlbs; prime light 34s; prime heifers 30s; light and aged 22s 6d to 25s.
