If the surface of the earth were perfectly lovel, the waters of the ocean would cover it to a depth of 600 feet. At Addington on Wednesday a largo yarding of fal sheep contained a few pens of heavy-weight crossbred wethers, nob many of which were suitublo for expo it. The bulk of the entry was crossbred owes, boiuo of which wcio of very good quality, but there was a larg* number of inferior sorts. The sale opened fairly well, and all good sheep were well competed for, bub poorer sorts were in excess of the demand, and towards the closo of the sale wero very hard to quit. Best freezers sold at 10s to 12% secondary 7a Gd to 9s 6d, best crossbred owes 7s to 10s, secondary 5s to (is 6d, inferior 2s 6d to 4s (id, merino owes 2s to 3« Gd. In fivt lambs about 000 came forward. A few pens of prime brought from 7s to Bs, poorer noits selling at from 4s GJ to 6a 6d. In store sheep about lI, OUO came to hand» the bulk of which was lambs, and quite 3000 boilers were on offer. The sale showed no life whatever. Good 2 tooth crossbred wethers wero quitted at 4s 9d to 7-* 9d, ewes 4a Od to 7s 3d, 4 and G tooth irossbied owes 4s to 5s lOd, mixed 4-tooths Is to 5a 2d crossbicd lambs Is 7d to 4s, cios bivcl boilci* Is Od to 3a.
