News has been received by tho 'Frisco mail of tho death of John Cosjjrovo, merchant, San Francisco, formerly of Auckland. Ac a meeting of tho North AuckUud Hospital and Charitable Aid Board a letter was road from the Auckland Hospital Board demanding immediate payment of arrears duo for hospital fees (L 816), and threatening a writ in the Supremo Court if not paid forthwith. It was decided that matter* must tako their course. Tho parsonage if tho Rev. Mr Bispham has boon burned down at Toawamutu Ib was insured by the Mission Trust Board for L 250, and the contents for L 650 in tho South British. John Adoano, of Gi -borne, appeared to-day at tho Police Court to answer a charge under the Bankruptcy Act of failing to keep proper books. Tho case was adjourned,
