AUCKLAND. April 27.
The Onehunga shopkeepers have issued • notice intimating (heir intention of closing on Wednesday, and their determination to keep open on Saturdays. A telegram was sent to tho lion. Mr Reeves, and a reply was received to this effect : *' If there is any illegality in connection with the proceedings of the Council in the matter it was open for anyone to bring a case before a magistrate." This the shopkeepers decline to do, and bo they leave it to the Minister and authorities to take legal action* Miss Mills, a music teacher ag(d 40, waa found dead in her room on the floor to-day. She lived alone, and apparently had been dead a week. Tho neighbors thought she had left on a visit.
