gentlemen wero clfcted members of the Gtenavy ichool committee for tho ensuing year ; Messrs P. J. Murphy, M. Geaney, T. C. Henderson, N. O'TooJe, J. Kennedy, .S M'Carthy, and G. Adlam. At tho close of the public meeting, a meeting of the new committee was held , when Mr Murphy was elected chairman and Mr Henderson secretary and treasurer. It was resolved that the ordinary meeting be held on the last Monday in every month, and that a supply of fuel be procured for the winter at once, and alto that tho annual concert and dance in aid of the tchool fund be held on Thursday, 23rd May. The children's railway excursion took place on tho 16th to Timaru when 80 children and adults availed them selves of the cheap trip, and nil enjoyed themselves uud returned wall pleased.
