WAIAREKA,
At tho meeting of householders there was a fair attendance. Mr A. lsdalo was voted to tho chair. Mr Jackson read the report of the Committee, which stated that they had been in office since January last. They had ainco received, with regret, Mr Fraier's resignation. The report was adopted, and the same Committee— Messrs laddie, Jack* son, D. M'Uretjor, Robertson, Clark, Bain, and Joseph Mitchell — were unanimously elected en bloc. Before a vote of thanks was moved, Mr Fraser said he had a word to say. He was not so thick in the head bub he could understand what their present aotion meant. Little was said, but it meant much. It wasn't cvory man's business to avoid disputes, but it was his business to see that ho did not out on the wrong sido. Ho sincerely thanked them fur their action. A vote of thanks to the chairman closed a very shore meeting. Subsequently the Committee requested Mr Fraser to send this notice of the meeting to the Press.
