The annual meeting of householders wus held last evening in the schoolroom. The meoting waa presided over by the Ilov. A. B Todd (chairman of the Committee). Thf ra wns a very good attend'

Thu adoption of tho report and biltnoo-Bheot was proposed by Mr Mahan and seconded by Mr Irvine and carried. Tho Chairmtn paid that he wished to draw attention to the fact that there had been stoady progress made by tho school during tho yoar ; also, that there had been no change in tho touching atuQ. Dueing tho month of Jnnuary, in nccordance with tho Act, I hoy hnd appointed a truant oflicer, who did the work vory woll ; but sinca then, as tho North ami Souih schools had appoint «1 Sorgcaol O'CJrady to the position, th.>y fell in with them, and now Sorgt. O'Grady was the ollicor for the whole dihtrict. The secretary recommended tho incoming Committee to continue abph^lting the pathi round tho school, as what tho Committoe had already dono w.ts >i ereat convonience to thu scholars and added to thu comfort of tho school. Thirteen householders wore proposed, and tho following nino woro duly elected : Jamos Debbie 24, W. Grumitt 2JJ, H. I Mahan 2',i, Rev. Canon ttould 20, R. H. Simon 20, W. Cork 10, H. Thomas 18. J. H. Irvine 17, J.Emslio 17. Mr Todd was proposed, buf paid ho would gladly hiwo stood, but he would bo leaving tho district during tho yo.ir. The Chairman intimated that on Friday, tho 26th of (April, at 7.^0, tho first mooting of tho newly appointed Committee would bo held. A voto of thanks to tho chair and to the late secretary for his oflicient services concluded tho meeting.
