(by telegraph.) Christohurch, April 13. The vTPftllier get in bad la«t night, rain filling and rendering the tracks heavy hi work progressed. Safeguard, looking well, galloped once round, and Barmby and Golden Fleece did a giod sevenfurlong gallop in company with Silver Spec, assisted by Marino part of the way, and by Goodwood for the laat five furlongs. They c >vf red tho E niter Handicap distance well, but Mtremm* and Ilippomenes registered the beat lime over the seven furlongs, Maremma finishing in front. Casket and Outpoir, all out, woro together at the end of the same distance run in slower time, and SoUno beat Skirmisher over tho same ground. Tha jumpers Barnardo, L ; bentor, Strophon, and Ebor each did good work. Au Revoir, suited by the soft track, pulled up well at tho end of a strong run mile, and North Athntic covered a round with Gipsy Grand, Eurodydon, Aloertis, Smuggler, aud fomo of the lesser lights did more or loss ensy tasks.
