Tho weather, which was threatening in tho morning, improved as the day wore on, and remained fine in the after noon, The attendance of the public was fair, and the course was in good condition. The fol'owing are tho results : Hurdles Handicap, 2 miles.— Rose Stem, 10.0, 1; Dart, 10.5,2; Cumboroona, 12.7, 3. Eloven horns started. Won easily. Time, 3mina 56secs. Autumn Stakes, li mile. — TUo Harvester (Stevenson), 1 ; Newman (Cook), 2 ; Havoc (J. Ciough), 3. The other starters weie : Blarueyatono, Donation, JJurton, Loyalty, and Hova. Betting : 2to I against The Harvester, 5 to 2 Havoc, H to 1 BUiueystone, 10 to 1 tho nthan. Newman headed the field until tho back itretolj, when Hova and Donation went to tho front, with Tho Harvester ftlong>lrie, and at the swna time
Havoc could be seen threading hi» way tli rough. At tho scraping sheds the field closeu up, and on entering the straight Tho Harvester, Newman, and Havoc were in the loading division. All the way homo there was a great struggle, and th« V.R.C, Derby winner just strugg'ed homo by half a, length. Havoc finished an excellent third. Time, 2mins 45secs. Two-year old Maiden Stakes, 7 furlongs. — Valiant, 1 ; Vivian, 2 ; Slumber, 3. Twelve started. Won easily. Time, Imin 20sec8. Doncaster Handicap. — Delaware (Parker), I ; Tavoona (Ticrney) 2 ; Vanitas (Huxley), 3. The other starters wero : Wakawatea, Ruenalf, Cremorne, The Admiral, Solanam, ]Uiug"hah, Co.nmon, Taranuki, Isaac, Sundial, Wallace, Gailardia, Escapade, Belgiorno, Tho Captain, lolanthus, Cannon, Awamcuda, Countess, Carnation, All There, Waterfall, Bendigo, P'aymato, and Heatherbell. Betting : 7to 1 against lolanlhus, 10 to 1 Tavoona, Delaware and Vanitas, 14 to 1 tho others. From an excellent start by tho machine, Bungcbah darted to the front, with Dolnwaro his close attendant. Entering the straight the latter had the leader beaten, and then both Vanitai and Tavoona, who had held good positions, came with a great rush, and though tho latter cut dovrn Vanitas, ho could not reach Delaware, who won comfortably. Time, Imin 40sccs. St. Lodger, 1J mile.— Cobbity (Holmes), 1 ; Bradford (Gough), 2 ; Atlas (Nerrikcer), 3. The other starters were Chestcrman and Nobleman. Chesterman made the running for the greater pat t of the journey, but m they entered the straight Atlas on tho raid and Cobbity on tho outsido drew out, the latter having the best of the fight, and when inside the distance Bradford tackled Atlas, and got second place. Time, 3mins 7isecs. High Weight Welter Handicap, 6 fur* longs. — Little Agnes, 9.1, 1; Plainbull, 11.3, 2 ; Aurea, 97, 3. Eighteen started. Won easily. Time, Imin 15]|Secs.
