St. Paul's Youno Men's Association.— Tho usual weekly meeting of tho mombors of this Sooiety was held in tho session room last night, tho President, tho Rev. A. B. Todd, in tho chair. Oamaku Waterworks Loan, — Wo are. informed by Mr Korr, the manager of the I Oamaru branch of tho National Bank, that ho has received mail advices from England to ho effect that tho I^ndon office of that matitution has »ucce«sf«lly floated tho L 60,000 worth of Municipal Waterworks debentures sent Homo lome months ago. It »PP«»w that tho tenders ranged from LlO2 10s to LlO6 2s 6d, tho gross total to tho Corporation being L 62,150 12s, or an average of LlO3 11a 8d per cent. This cannot but bo considered lnghly gratifying, and reflects meat credit upon tho National Bank, to tho London Directors of which institation Oamaru is certainly indebted for their forethought and carefulness in not attempting to place the loan in tho unhinged state of tho London money market which obtained until the day when the San Stefano treaty of peace was entered into between Turkey and feussia.
