Entire Horses.

ENTIRE DRAUGHT HORSE, ROYAL OAK, WILL STAND this Season, alternately at the Stations of Messrs HOLMES and GLEESON, Moeraki, and Messrs HOLMES and CAMPBELL, Totara. Royal Oak, by tho imported horse Tasman ; dam imported at the same timo, and for which tho sum of £300 was paid in Scotland, and the sire, by the most competent judges, was named tho perfection of horBe-flesh. Royal Oak is now rising eight years old, rich dappie brown, sound, and has proved himself a euro foal-gettcr. He gained seven first-class prizes bofore ho was imported to New Zealand, the laBt of which was at the Smeaton Agricultural Show, where he beat the imported horses " Young Clyde," " Black Champion," grey horse "Farmer's Glory," MiHepburn's imported " Nugget ;" also, Colonial-bred horses "Inkerman," "Garibaldi," "Model," " Black Douglas," " Young Douglas," " Warwick," and " Bay Champion." He also won the first prize at the Show of the Northern Agricultural Association at Oamaru last year, beating several good horses. Terms, £7 6s., groomago included ; and any mare missing will be served the following year, free of charge. Largo and secure paddocks provided at both stations, but no responsibility incurred. Payments to be made before removal of mares. ILL STAND THIS SEASON, at the WAIMATE STATION, tho magnificent Thoroughbred Entoe, CALEDON, recently imported from England by Messrs STtn>holme Bros. Caledon was bred by the late Earl of Caledon, and is by Simoon, sire of many winners ; dam Icicle, twice a winner at 3 year old, having then only run three times ; and nine times a winner at 4 years old, when she ceased running. Simoon by Camel, son of Whalobone, out of Sea Breeze, by Pnulowitz. Icicle by Ccesar, own brother to Bay Middleton, dam Dewdrop, by Defence by Whalebone. Caledon is a short-legged, compact horse, standing 15.3, of great bone and power ; and wlnlo his blood is undeniably good, he is eminently suited for getting weight-carrying hacks and hunters. Good paddocks provided, but no responsibility incurred. All fees to be paid and all mares removed on or before tho lBt of January. Mares not removed will, after that date, bo charged 40s. per week. NOTICE TO FARMERS AND BREEDERS OF HORSE STOCK. mHE favorite Entire DRAUGHT HORSE YOUNG DOUGLASS, Will stand at call at the Fami, Punchbowl, on Tuesdays ; Hampden on Wednesdays ; returning on Thursdays ; Oamaru on Fridays. Young Douglass is now seven years old, was bred by Mr John Menzies, Merri Creek, Victoria ; Sire — Old Douglass, imported from Scotland, who has left some of the best stock in Victoria; Dam — Violet, imported from Tasmania ; Violet by the celebrated Grey Champion. Youna Douglass is a rich dark brown, faultless in symmetry, very active, a kind worker, and a certain foal getter. His stock are strong and well dispositioned, and at all the exhibitions at which they have been shown they have obtained either first or second prizes. Ho has himself taken four first and four second prizes in Melbourne and elsewhere. Terms, £5 each ; groom 5s. £2 5s to be paid at time of serving ; balance at the end of the season. A good paddock will be provided at the farm, free for two months ; afterwards 3s per week will be charged. Every care will be taken, but no responsibility.
