WOOL ! WOOL ! ! WOOL ! ! ! TO WOOL-GROWERS, MERCHANTS, A\D OTHERS, OF OTAGO, CANTERBURY, AND SOUTHLAND, "TiRIVER, MACLEAN AND CO. beg respectfully to inform the wool-grow i:rs, merchants, &c. of this and tho neighboung Provinces, that m removing to their now and commodious ptem^es in HIGH-STREET, they have made arrangements for holding during the season a series of AUCTION SALES or WOOL, HIDES, AND TALLOW. It is a well-known fact that in all the Wo >lproducing Colonies of Great Britain the sjhtrm of disposing of this staple bv public compotit on has become universal, and has proved emineniy advantageous, alike to the buyer and the seller. Nothing can be more deniable than that the wool-growers of the extend e district of when Dunedin is the centre, should be placed in a position to avail thernsehes of a mode of sale wJiieh has been found so useful elsewhere. It is \\ ith the view of meeting a want so generally felt, taat the undersigned have been induced to de\ otc a large portion of the premises above refused to, to the purpose of a \VqOL AUCTION MART. It is their intention to conduct this brand of their business in the same manner as it has for years been carried on by their friends rud agents — Messrs R. Goldsborough & Co., of Melbourne, and by other eminent firms in the neighboring colonies of Australia. They h ive also, to ensure its efficient management, engaged the services of Mr W. L. Lee&, a practical ,md experienced Woolsorter, who has been several years employed in the same line by Me-uvs. Goldhborough and Co. From the arrangements thus completed, the grower, on consigning his Wool to the undersigned, will secure the double advantage of ha\ ing it placed on view and offered for sale in 'his market ; and in case of its not being disposed of to meet his views as to its value, of having it shipped under efficient superintendence, either to Melbourne or Great Britain, or to Great Britain via Melbourne. A further and most important advantage will be found in the opportunity nowprovided for having Wools properly sorted ind classified on the spot; as it has been found by experience that Wools irregularly paiked never lealise their full value. On consigning Wools to the undersigned, constituents will please to furnish full partieulais of their classification, specially distinguishing fleece "Wools fiom LVMIte, LOCKS, PIECES, or BRO vKN and mixed. This precaution is required by the necessity of selling these different classes of Wool separately. Wools sent to the undersigned for shipment to Great Britain will, if not specially consigned, be forwarded to their Agents, the well-known 3im of MILES BROS. & CO, Or London 1 and Liverpool, In whose hands the interests of the consignor will be secure of caieful attention. DRIVER, MACLEAN & CO., Wool Brokers and Stock and Station Salesmen, High -street, Dunec'in.

Goldsbobough & Cc, of Melbourne, which will be offered at their regular Sales or shipped to England ou owners' account. Shippeis can thus avail themselves of the Dunedin and Melbourne markets, whilst -heir Wools, if not dibposed of, will reach the home maiket as soon, and with as little expense, as if shipped direct from New Zealand. DRIVER, MACLEAN & CO., High-street, Duned.n.
