The latest advices from Melbourne and Adolaido are not important. The " Melbourne Argus " Bays : —Tho spring business will soon commence, ii the fine weather experienced continues. In flour and grain there i<? literally nothing doing, and prices, though unaltered, are merely nominal. Tho auction sales are unimportant in character. A meeting of creditors in the estate of the proprietors of the Monster Clothing Company, was held on Monday last, when liabilities to the extent ot £22,000 were shown, with assets amounting to £18,000. Messrs Marsh (of 11. Marsh and Co) and Ellcr (of J. C. Young and Co.) were appointed trustees to act for the benefit of the creditors generally. , ~ By Telegraph from Adelaide, Ist September, the following rates are given :—Flour is firm at £21to £21 10s for best brands; country brands, ifcZU ; wheat 8s 9d ; very little is comins forward ; while oats, 4s 9d ; Cape barley, 4s lid; English barley, 5s 6d.
