INVERCARGILL.
The Southland "Daily News" reports as follows: Although transactions have not been of an extensive character, yet we believe that more orders have been received in town from the country during the week than for some time past. This, no doubt, is to be attributed in some measure to tho improved state of the roads, but it encouragos the hope that, as spring advances, a brisk up-country trade will revive.
