MEETING OF STOCKOWNERS.

A meeting was held on the 24th August, by ths stockowners of the Otepopo Hundred, Mr F. Fenwick in the chair, at which the following resolutions were carried —Proposed by Mr Cormack, uid seconded by Mr T Oliver —" That the cattleowiers of the Otepopo Hundred co-operate with those of the Moeraki Hundred in engaging and paying a man to live on or near the Horse Range, to watch fhat boundary of the infected district, and keep diseased cattle from crossing it." Proposed by Mr Oliver, and seconded by Mr Campbell—" That Is. per head be subscribed by the cattleowners of the Otepopo Hundred, in order to defray the expenses of keepings man on the Horse Range for six months from this date." Proposed by Mr Cormaet, and secondec by Mr Campbell—" That the subscriptions collected be handed, through Mr Fenwick, to Mr M'Farlanr, of Moeraki, to be expended according to terms of previous resolutions; and that Messrs T. Anderson, Speed, and Oliver be authorised to receive subscriptions."
